Launching the book series "Financial Education" for students

The book series "Financial Education " for students from grade 1 to grade 12 was recently organized by Vietnam Education Publishing House in collaboration with Tan Viet Book Company - Tan Viet Bookstore on the afternoon of August 18 in Hanoi.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Members, General Director of Vietnam Education Publishing House, said that understanding personal finance is considered an important survival skill for people in modern society, especially in the context of a constantly changing world with the rapid development of digital technology .

Every individual, especially the younger generation, needs to be equipped with financial knowledge early, creating a solid foundation for children to confidently manage their personal finances when they grow up.

Financial education helps children understand the value of money, be able to plan and manage personal finances effectively, form saving habits, choose smart spending methods, know how to make wise financial decisions, avoid risks, and also teach them how to live responsibly, respect the value of labor, know how to share, and form good habits.

The book series "Financial Education" is not only a published product, but also a passion and a belief sent to the young generation of Vietnam. Hopefully, the simple financial lessons will help children gradually form a solid financial mindset, know how to manage money intelligently, humanely and responsibly.

Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen, Editor-in-Chief of Banking Times, Editor-in-Chief and Author of the book series "Financial Education", affirmed that this book series does not teach about getting rich but focuses on providing scientific knowledge and skills about finance, currency, and banking so that students can build healthy financial habits. From there, students and individuals can understand and build financial management skills, helping to make life better.

"Financial education is not just about imparting dry knowledge about money, saving or investing, but is a journey of sowing seeds of humanity, nurturing habits, behaviors and creating good financial virtues" - Ms. Thuy Sen emphasized.

The "Financial Education" book series is designed with a comprehensive and scientific system of economic and financial knowledge combined with a humanistic educational approach, including 12 books, structured according to three levels, corresponding to students from grade 1 to grade 12. The content outline of the book series is built tightly and scientifically, creating a complete and logical knowledge structure on financial education.

The content of each class's book is divided into topics, each topic has lessons with a total estimated duration of about 35 periods (equivalent to 1 period/week), convenient to use when teaching. In particular, the author has used many folk songs, proverbs, idioms, short stories, everyday stories, old stories, national traditions and familiar cultural symbols to bridge financial knowledge closer to students.

The contents are designed to integrate financial and banking knowledge with moral education, life skills, and civic education. Therefore, the book series meets the requirements of being easy to remember - easy to learn - easy to understand - easy to apply and is a necessary learning material for schools to choose to use for teaching the second session to students.
