Launching the event series "Spring Homeland 2025" in Japan

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Fukuoka, Japan Vu Chi Mai said that every time Tet comes, "Spring in the homeland" is the largest annual program of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the community of more than 6 million Vietnamese people living, studying and working in more than 130 countries and territories.

In recent years, the Vietnamese community in Fukuoka, Japan has successfully organized many large-scale programs such as: Miss Vietnam - Japan Friendship; Ao Dai Fashion Week in Fukuoka and set 2 global Vietnamese records: The Vietnam map formation event with the largest number of overseas Vietnamese and foreigners wearing Ao Dai; The festival of overseas Vietnamese with the most diverse series of activities connecting the overseas Vietnamese community and welcoming the traditional New Year... The "Homeland Spring" festival is also highly appreciated by the government, people and foreign community in Japan. This is also the Lunar New Year event held on a large scale and with a large number of participants in Japan.

"The "Homeland Spring 2025" Festival in Japan is a continuation of the success of the above series of programs. We hope that through this event, we can promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam integrating into the world , building the image of the Vietnamese community's position of solidarity and development in Japan in particular and the world in general" - Ms. Vu Chi Mai emphasized.

At the launching ceremony, Deputy Head of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Manh Dong shared: "The Vietnamese community in Japan participating in the Spring Homeland Festival 2025 is also the creator and the beneficiary of spiritual values. Each individual will be a cultural ambassador and a bridge of friendship between Vietnam and Japan. I believe that the Spring Homeland Program 2025 will continue to attract a large number of Vietnamese communities in Japan and international friends to participate. This will be a series of activities promoting the beauty of Vietnamese women, traditional cultural values of Vietnam, a country that loves peace, harmony and friendliness."

The festival is expected to take place from January 4-5, 2025 in Saitama Prefecture, Japan and end in Fukuoka, Japan from January 10-12, 2025. Within the framework of the festival, there will be booths introducing handicraft products, consumer goods, promoting Vietnamese tourism and culture; impressive performances by popular Vietnamese artists, singers and actors.

The highlight of the festival is the two contests "Miss Culture - International Friendship 2025" and "International Supermodel Kids 2025" in Japan.

The "Miss Culture - Friendship International 2025" contest is held for Vietnamese women around the world, including Vietnamese women living, studying and working in Japan. The contest not only honors beauty but also emphasizes understanding, cultural connection and friendship between countries. This is also an event to contribute to raising awareness of "virtue - intelligence - physical fitness - beauty", encouraging and motivating Vietnamese women to actively study, practice, participate in social activities, charity activities, have a kind heart, tolerance, love the homeland, know how to share and help the poor, children in especially difficult family circumstances.

The "2025 International Supermodel Kids" contest will not only be a child model contest but also a forum for education and comprehensive development for children, contributing to building a generation of young Vietnamese at home and abroad who are confident, creative and responsible to the community. The contest aims at the following criteria: Discovering and nurturing young talents; encouraging confidence and creativity; comprehensive education and development; building and connecting friendship with international friends; encouraging social activities, raising awareness of community responsibility.

The "Miss Culture - Friendship International 2025" and "International Supermodel Kids 2025" contests in Japan will take place from July 17, 2024 to January 24, 2025. Miss Phuong Khanh - Miss Earth 2018 and runner-up Mai Ngo - 4th runner-up Miss Grand Vietnam 2022 will be the Ambassadors of this year's program./.
