From emulation movements, Co Do commune has more and more new models and good practices, creating important motivation, actively contributing to achieving and exceeding 14/14 targets of the congress resolution for the 2020-2025 term. Typically, the average income per capita reached more than 82.4 million VND; budget revenue reached 100.33% of the estimate; upgraded 20 roads longer than 33,000m, built 5 bridges, installed public lighting on roads with a total length of 21,000m; over 97% of families met cultural standards; the poverty rate decreased to 0.08%; national defense was strengthened; security, order and social safety were maintained stably...

Notably, the production value of the trade and service sector increased by an average of 10% per year; budget revenue reached 102.8% of the estimate; the rate of cultural families reached over 98% annually... Over the past 5 years, all levels and sectors in Can Tho City have launched and organized a widespread patriotic emulation movement, creating confidence and enthusiasm for emulation and achievements of collectives and individuals in all areas of social life. The emulation movements have achieved impressive results, demonstrated by socio-economic growth, ensuring national defense and security of the city.

According to the draft Political Report submitted to the 1st Congress of Can Tho City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, the scale of the city's economy continues to expand, the total product in the area (GRDP) at current prices in 2025 increased quite high compared to the beginning of the term; the average gross product per capita (GRDP/person) has improved significantly; labor productivity has increased rapidly over the years. The investment and business environment has been improved to be open, transparent, convenient, safe and friendly; the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) is ranked in the good to high group. Industrial production has continuously increased, effectively exploiting raw material areas, creating jobs for local workers. Trade and service activities have changed positively, meeting the increasing needs of consumers; trade forms have shifted flexibly, modernly, and diversely, playing a key role in the GRDP structure.

At the same time, the agricultural, farmer and rural areas have achieved many important results. The material and spiritual life of the people has been improved. Rural infrastructure has been invested synchronously, the new rural construction program has exceeded the set targets. The work of mobilizing resources for investment in developing socio-economic infrastructure has been directed with attention and achieved many outstanding results. The network of schools and the scale of students at all levels and grades have been improved; the quality of education has been constantly improved. People's health care has been gradually improved. The rate of universal health insurance coverage is estimated to reach over 95% by the end of 2025. Social security policies have been fully, promptly and correctly implemented. National defense and security have been maintained, social order and safety have been ensured...

These achievements are the result of the continuous efforts of the entire political system and people of the city, in which the results of patriotic emulation movements play an important role. Continuing the achievements, we believe that in the new term, the new stage, the Party Committee, the government and the people of Can Tho City will continue to promote and effectively implement the patriotic emulation movement, join hands and unite to realize the aspiration of building Can Tho City by 2030 to become a growth pole of the country, playing the role of a driving force for development, spreading and leading the whole region and by 2045 to be an ecological, civilized, modern city, striving to be among the group of fairly developed cities in Asia, becoming a livable city of Vietnam.
