On September 16, on social networking sites, tourists reported that prices in Lo Lo Chai village, Lung Cu commune, Tuyen Quang province were "too expensive, 3 times more expensive, not 2 times more expensive". In addition, tourists complained about the poor quality of smoked pork in Dong Van....
Information reflected on social networks.
Immediately after that, the Standing Committee of Lung Cu Commune Party Committee directed the Commune People's Committee to establish an inspection team to work directly with the Management Board of the cultural and tourist village and 51 service business households in the village.
According to the verification results, the price of accommodation services at Lo Lo Chai is currently commonly from 100,000 - 200,000 VND/person for a dormitory room. Private rooms without private bathrooms range from 250,000 - 500,000 VND/room; private rooms with amenities range from 500,000 - 1,000,000 VND/room. Some high-end rooms, with additional services such as breakfast, herbal bath, tea/coffee... are listed at 1,000,000 - 1,500,000 VND/room.
For catering services, group meals cost from 150,000 - 200,000 VND/person; additional dishes are charged separately. Motorbike service costs from 5,000 - 10,000 VND/vehicle, cars under 16 seats from 20,000 - 50,000 VND/vehicle.
Through inspection, the Commune People's Committee determined that these prices are suitable to actual conditions, and there is no phenomenon of uniform price increases. The difference in prices is mainly due to differences in service quality, facilities and business models of each household.
Therefore, the reflection that “prices are 3 times more expensive” is baseless and untrue. Furthermore, the account posting the reflection information is anonymous, unofficial, does not clearly state the basis for using the service, and does not provide evidence.
Lo Lo Chai village is located right at the foot of Dragon Mountain and only about 1 km from Lung Cu Flagpole (in Lung Cu commune, Tuyen Quang province).
Along with affirming that there is no price gouging, Lung Cu Commune People's Committee also proposed many solutions to sustainably develop community tourism.
These include developing typical products associated with traditional culture and cuisine ; improving tourism infrastructure and environmental sanitation; preserving traditional cultural values; protecting tourists' rights through increased inspection of price postings, service quality and strictly handling violations, if any.
“The verification results confirm that the reflection on social networks is baseless and not true to reality. The locality commits to continue to strictly manage to protect the interests of tourists and the reputation of community tourism,” Mr. Tran Duc Chung, Chairman of Lung Cu Commune People’s Committee, stated.
Lo Lo Chai village is located right at the foot of Dragon Mountain and only about 1 km from Lung Cu Flagpole (in Lung Cu commune, Tuyen Quang province). This place has ancient houses hundreds of years old, beautiful like a fairy tale village in the northernmost land of the Fatherland.
From a remote land at the head of the Fatherland, Lo Lo Chai village has now become a bright spot in community tourism development, bringing in sustainable income, helping people escape poverty and lighting up the aspirations of the Lo Lo ethnic people to change their lives.
