Ready Vietnamese goods for the peak shopping season during the holidays

People's demand for shopping, entertainment and recreation during the National Day holiday on September 2nd this year is expected to increase. Therefore, many supermarkets and shopping centers in Dong Nai province have planned to implement large-scale consumer stimulus programs to attract customers to visit and shop. Among them are many consumer stimulus programs for Vietnamese goods and local specialties.

Many programs to stimulate demand for Vietnamese goods

Trang Phuc, representative of the marketing department of Co.opmart Bien Hoa (Tam Hiep ward, Dong Nai province), said: On the upcoming September 2nd holiday, Co.opmart Bien Hoa Supermarket will launch a consumer stimulus program called "Proud of Vietnamese Supermarkets". The program will take place for 21 days, from August 28 to September 17, at Co.opmart Bien Hoa Supermarket in particular and at the entire Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarket system nationwide, including online shopping channels in general.

Director of Lotte Mart Dong Nai (Long Binh ward, Dong Nai province) Le Duc Thuan said: Currently, Vietnamese goods account for about 80% of Lotte Mart's shelves, focusing on food items, agricultural products, OCOP products (One Commune One Product Program)... On the upcoming September 2nd holiday, Lotte Mart Dong Nai will launch many promotional programs, stimulating demand for Vietnamese goods with a variety of products. These include programs such as: "Unforgettable Years" with many incentives for Vietnamese products with long-standing brands; "Strength of Vietnamese goods" applying promotional policies for many Vietnamese products in the dry food, coffee, milk, agricultural products groups... In addition, there is also the program "5 Continents' Aspiration" with many imported products discounted and with great incentives.

Besides traditional channels, consumers are now familiar with, and even prefer, online shopping channels. On the upcoming September 2nd holiday, many e-commerce platforms are also stepping up promotional programs to stimulate demand for Vietnamese products such as: regional specialties, fashion products, stationery, household appliances, etc.

Representatives of many supermarkets and shopping centers in the province said they have proactively prepared goods, launched promotions, large discounts, and increased human resources to serve people who come to shop. At the same time, they have deployed eye-catching and elaborate decorations and displays of Vietnamese products to attract consumers to visit and shop.

Mr. Trang Phuc added: On this occasion, Co.opmart Bien Hoa especially thanks customers with many attractive programs such as: "Proud red - receive Vietnamese agricultural products immediately" exclusively for member customers, "Check-in Co.op - receive proud gifts"... In addition, there are many other attractive activities such as: "Shopping Season" page with discounted products, "Instant gifts - Enjoy shopping" program with many valuable vouchers and online mini games on the Co.op Online application.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong (residing in Binh Phuoc ward, Dong Nai province) shared: "On this occasion, I see that supermarkets have prepared abundant sources of goods, as well as decorated Vietnamese product booths in eye-catching and colorful ways. In particular, many Vietnamese products and goods are applied with big incentive and promotion programs on this occasion."

Diversify channels to promote Vietnamese specialties

In addition to activities and programs to stimulate consumption of Vietnamese goods, on the upcoming September 2nd holiday, many supermarkets and shopping centers in the province are also promoting campaigns to promote Vietnamese agricultural products and specialties, especially famous OCOP products from localities across the country.

According to Mr. Vu Thanh Tan, representative of the communications department of Central Retail Group in Vietnam (the unit managing the Big C/GO! Supermarket system), on the occasion of the upcoming National Day on September 2, the 2025 "Pride of Vietnamese Specialties" Festival will take place simultaneously at GO!, Tops Market, GO! supermarkets nationwide, including supermarkets in Dong Nai such as: GO! Tan Hiep, GO! Dong Nai (BigC Dong Nai), GO! Nhon Trach... until September 10.

This program introduces and promotes 160 regional specialties and typical OCOP products such as: Mo village tofu (Hanoi), Moc Chau crispy persimmons (Son La), milk oysters (Quang Ninh), clean fish from Da river (Phu Tho), smoked buffalo meat (Lao Cai), Gioi Phien vermicelli (Lao Cai), grilled tuna (Nghe An), sea crab (Ca Mau), basa fish (Dong Thap), oranges, five-fruit pomelos (Vinh Long)...

Similarly, Head of Marketing Department of Co.opmart Dong Xoai Supermarket (Binh Phuoc Ward, Dong Nai Province) Do Doan Thanh said: On the upcoming September 2nd holiday, Co.opmart Dong Xoai will focus on implementing the Program to Honor Vietnamese Goods and connect Vietnamese goods to consumers. This program focuses on discounts of up to 50% on high-quality Vietnamese products in 5 product categories: household appliances, cosmetics, apparel, processed foods, fresh foods through programs such as: Nutrition for school, Proud of Vietnamese agricultural products, Shopping Season, Vietnamese Supermarket - Launching savings deals...

“This is one of the biggest promotional programs of the year implemented by Co.opmart Dong Xoai Supermarket in response to the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products”. The program is expected to connect consumers with Vietnamese products and specialties, opening up many promotional channels for Vietnamese products” - Mr. Thanh emphasized.
