During the recent storm No. 5, Ha Tinh medical facilities suffered heavy damage. Some medical stations had their roofs blown off; signs, LED panels, fences, electrical systems, and trees at many hospitals and medical centers were damaged or broken. The initial preliminary estimate of total damage was more than 10.5 billion VND.
Immediately after the storm passed, medical facilities mobilized human resources and equipment to promptly handle the situation, ensuring stable reception and examination for the people.

At Thanh Sen Medical Center, the storm caused many trees to fall, some roofs and signs were blown off, many areas were leaking, the electrical system was interrupted... In addition, the commune and ward health stations also had leaks, flooded yards, blown off roofs, and wet supplies.
Doctor Le Quan Thanh - Deputy Director of Thanh Sen Medical Center said: "Thanks to the total mobilization of vehicles and human resources, the environmental sanitation and removal of fallen trees have been completed. The lightly damaged items have been repaired, while the heavily damaged items will take longer. Up to now, all departments and rooms at the center have officially returned to normal operation. People coming for examination and treatment have been received and served as attentively as before the storm."

For Ky Anh Medical Center, the storm caused damage to the tree system and signboards. Many affiliated medical stations had their roofs, gates and fences damaged. Up to now, the center has completed environmental sanitation work and repaired damaged items to ensure minimum conditions for receiving and examining people.
It is known that after the storm passed, under the direction of the Department of Health, medical facilities in the whole industry mobilized forces to quickly overcome the damage and clean up the environment to receive treatment and timely emergency care for patients. All health care activities for the people have been taking place normally and stably so far.

Along with overcoming the consequences of storms and floods, medical facilities have developed plans and arranged adequate human resources and supplies to maintain examination, treatment, and emergency care for people during the National Day holiday on September 2.
Doctor Le Ngoc Thanh - Deputy Director of the Provincial General Hospital said: In addition to closely arranging the 4-level on-duty, the hospital has arranged forces, vehicles, and medical supplies to ensure the highest capacity in rescuing victims of traffic accidents and injuries. At the same time, arrange an external emergency team to provide professional support to lower-level medical facilities when requested. In addition, the hospital also increases the force for key departments with a large number of patients to ensure that patients receive the most attentive care and treatment during their inpatient treatment during the holidays.

It is known that, to ensure health care and protection for people during the National Day holiday on September 2, the Department of Health has requested the Provincial Center for Disease Control and medical centers to assign staff to be on duty 24/7 to prevent and control the epidemic; closely monitor the situation and developments of the epidemic in the area, not to let it break out or spread; strengthen surveillance in the community to promptly detect suspected cases of infection.
For medical examination and treatment facilities, ensure full on-call duty at 4 levels, ensure smooth communication. Arrange medical forces, vehicles, and supplies to ensure the highest capacity in rescuing traffic accident victims. Assign permanent emergency outside hospitals, coordinate with functional forces to promptly respond and handle traffic accidents and catastrophic accidents if any in the localities.
