On the morning of September 9, SJC gold price reached a historic peak, approaching the 136 million VND/tael mark.

This development originated from the international market. Early this morning, the world gold price was trading at 3,630 USD/ounce, a sharp increase of 50 USD compared to the lowest level in the previous trading session.

World gold prices hit a new peak as the market expects the US Federal Reserve to cut interest rates three times in the remaining months of the year.

At 8:30 a.m., the price of precious metals was 3,639 USD/ounce, about 20.4 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.

In the domestic market, businesses listed the price of SJC gold bars at 133.8 million VND/tael (buy) - 135.8 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 700,000 VND/tael each way compared to the end of the previous day. This is the highest price ever for SJC gold bars.

For gold rings, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited set the price at 127.7 million VND/tael (buy) - 130.2 million VND/tael (sell), unchanged from the end of the previous day.

Phu Quy Group continues to set the price at 127.7 million VND/tael (buy) - 130.7 million VND/tael (sell).

Regarding the gold market, the Government Office has just issued Document No. 8390/VPCP-VI dated September 8, 2025 conveying the direction of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh on the recent gold market situation.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh assigned the Government Inspectorate to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Public Security and the State Bank to urgently establish an inspection team on September 9 to inspect the compliance with policies and laws of credit institutions and enterprises in gold trading activities, anti-money laundering, the creation and use of invoices and documents related to gold trading activities and other related issues.

In case of detecting signs of law violations, immediately transfer information and records to the police agency; report the inspection results to the Prime Minister in September 2025.
