According to Mr. Hoa, his family read the newspaper and learned that the Central Region Water Resources Planning and Investigation Federation determined that the cause of the above phenomenon was due to drilling touching an air pocket underground.

"Looking at this phenomenon, I can't help but feel sorry for the wasted resources. Meanwhile, my family worries every day because of the lack of water for production. I am planning to install a system of pipes to bring air and water to irrigate the plants, but the investment cost is too high," said Mr. Hoa.

Mr. Ro Mah Heng, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Kly Commune, Chu Prong District, said: "The survey team of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment came to take water samples from the well with the above phenomenon.

While waiting for the authorities to come up with a solution, the government has encouraged people to put up warning signs, advising people not to come near. At the same time, officials also propagate not to spread rumors about supernatural phenomena that cause superstition in the community."

As Dan Tri reported, on July 30, Mr. Dam Xuan Hoa's family, residing in Kla village, Ia Kly commune, was drilling a well when suddenly a stream of gas and water shot up into the sky, tens of meters high.

According to the Central Region Water Resources Planning and Investigation Federation, the above phenomenon may be due to the drilling process reaching the distribution depth of an air pocket, a depth of 186m or less.

On-site inspection found the water clear, slightly sweet, with normal temperature and no odor. The gas and water mixture sprayed 20-22m high. The water was of good quality, with indicators within the allowable limits according to national standards.
