On the morning of March 17, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee held a meeting to give opinions on the Project on the direction of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies; and the Report on the progress of work related to amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution.

In his opening remarks, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that at this meeting, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee will give opinions on a number of contents to serve the streamlining of the apparatus to submit to competent authorities.

In that spirit, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee will discuss the Draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies; the Project on orientations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Council Deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
