It is forecasted that on February 29, the heat will continue to increase in intensity, in the Southeast region, there will be places with intense heat above 37 degrees Celsius.
Yesterday afternoon (February 27), some places in Ho Chi Minh City experienced unseasonal rain. Although the amount of rain was relatively small, lasting about 10-20 minutes, it still contributed to helping the weather in Ho Chi Minh City cool down after a series of hot and humid days.
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, yesterday (February 27), the heat wave in Ho Chi Minh City narrowed down. The highest temperature in Tan Son Nhat was 36 degrees Celsius, in Nha Be was 34.7 degrees Celsius.
It is forecasted that today (February 28) and tomorrow, the heat wave will continue to occur widely in the Ho Chi Minh City area with the highest temperature from 35-36 degrees Celsius. The heat wave will last from 12:00 to 16:00 during the day. From the next 3-5 days, the heat wave will continue to persist in the Ho Chi Minh City area.

Also according to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, yesterday (February 27), heat waves still occurred widely in the Southeast provinces but the intensity of the heat waves decreased, and some places in the Southwest provinces were locally hot. The highest temperature in the East ranged from 34-36 degrees Celsius, with some places above 36 degrees Celsius such as Bien Hoa (Dong Nai): 36.9 degrees Celsius, So Sao ( Binh Duong ): 36.6 degrees Celsius.
Today and tomorrow, heat waves will occur widely in the Southeast provinces and locally in the Western provinces. On February 29, the heat waves will continue to increase in intensity, with some areas in the East experiencing severe heat. The highest temperature in the East will be 35-37 degrees Celsius, with some places experiencing over 37 degrees Celsius; in the West, some places will experience over 35 degrees Celsius.
