On August 29, the Office of the Party Central Committee announced the conclusion of the meeting of the Politburo and Secretariat on August 29 on amending and supplementing Regulations No. 89-QD/TW dated August 4, 2017 on the framework of standards for positions and orientations for the framework of criteria for evaluating leaders and managers at all levels; Regulation No. 214-QD/TW dated January 2, 2020 on the framework of standards for positions and criteria for evaluating officials under the management of the Central Executive Committee, Politburo , and Secretariat; Regulation No. 124-QD/TW dated October 4, 2023 on annual quality review, assessment, and classification of collectives and individuals in the political system.
Regulations on standards for cadres under the management of the Party Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat will be revised and issued in August.

The document stated that at the meeting on August 29, after listening to the Central Organizing Committee report on the amendment and supplementation of the above regulations, the Politburo and the Secretariat acknowledged and commended the Central Organizing Committee for presiding over and coordinating with agencies to research and amend and supplement regulations on personnel work in general.
These include regulations on title standards and review, evaluation, and classification of collectives and individuals in the political system with many new and breakthrough contents, contributing to overcoming current shortcomings and limitations in personnel work, especially in personnel evaluation.
The Politburo and the Secretariat basically agreed on the content, revised and issued two new regulations, including: Regulations of the Politburo on standards for titles of cadres under the management of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat and the framework of standards for titles of cadres, leaders and managers at all levels (replacing Regulation No. 89-QD/TW and Regulation No. 214-QD/TW); Regulations of the Politburo on review, assessment and classification of quality for collectives and individuals in the political system (replacing Regulation No. 124-QD/TW).
The Politburo assigned the Central Organizing Committee to coordinate with the Central Party Office to absorb the opinions of the Politburo and the Secretariat; carefully review the documents, ensure consistency and unity; and submit to the Standing Secretariat to sign and issue these two regulations in August for implementation.
At the same time, closely monitor the implementation process, promptly detect shortcomings and new issues arising in practice, and propose appropriate amendments and supplements.
