The eternal vitality of cultural colors

This afternoon, December 13, at the Quang Tri Provincial Cultural - Cinema Center, a cultural activity took place with the content "Performance and introduction of excerpts of festivals and traditional cultural rituals of local ethnic groups" in the program of the Cultural Festival of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups in Quang Tri Province in 2024.

10 mass cultural and artistic troupes from participating provinces and cities selected, staged and performed excerpts introducing festivals and cultural rituals of special value typical of the ethnic groups in their localities. The sounds of folk songs and traditional dances unique to each locality combined with musical instruments and vivid lighting colors created a unique display, creating excitement and freshness for the audience.

After the first performance ended, Mr. Nong Quoc Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Chairman of the Art Council of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival in Quang Tri province in 2024, commented: Although there were only 10 performing groups, we highly appreciate the efforts of the groups from the Northwestern provinces to the Central Highlands provinces that gathered here. Each group performed a unique excerpt of a traditional ritual, showing us the vitality of cultural traditions that are always preserved in the communities.

Each group and each ethnic group has different characteristics, from costumes to religious rituals of the ethnic groups are all well preserved. We highly appreciate that the groups have brought artisans who are practicing heritages in the communities to participate in this festival. Therefore, we get to know more about traditional cultural features among the countless traditional cultural heritages of the Vietnamese people. Through festivals like this, we believe that these cultural values ​​will always be preserved forever...
