According to the Decision, the investor implementing the project is Sun Phu Quoc Airways Company Limited. It is known that this is a company belonging to Sun Group Corporation. The project name is "Sun PhuQuoc Airways - SPA".
The SPA was opened with the mission of bringing tourists from all over the world to the pearl island of Phu Quoc.
The project's objective is to establish a new airline with the main business model of transporting passengers by commercial air, combined with the charter model to serve tourists traveling to tourist and business centers of Vietnam and the world, typically famous tourist islands and bustling financial and commercial centers.
In particular, the SPA was opened with the mission of bringing tourists from all over the world to the pearl island of Phu Quoc. And having another airline to the pearl island will also create conditions for Vietnamese people to come to Phu Quoc more easily and conveniently.
According to the approved policy, SPA will have a total fleet size of 31 aircraft by 2030. The total investment capital of the project is 2,500 billion VND (equivalent to about 98.81 million USD).
The Prime Minister's official approval of the investment policy for Sun PhuQuoc Airways is an important milestone for the Vietnamese aviation industry and the development of Phu Quoc tourism. Because together with other airlines in the market, Sun PhuQuoc Airways will contribute a new bridge, bringing Phu Quoc - the island once voted the second most beautiful in the world after Maldives - closer to domestic and international tourists.
It is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2025, SPA will officially operate the first flights, connecting Phu Quoc with key economic and tourist centers at home and abroad.
Along with Sun PhuQuoc Airways, Sun Group is still operating the premium general airline Sun Air, providing personalized and specialized private jet flight services for luxury customers.
