(Fatherland) - February activities with the theme "Spring Colors in All Regions of the Fatherland", celebrating the Party, celebrating the Spring of At Ty (2025) will take place from February 1-28, 2025, at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism , Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi.


According to the Management Board of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, within the framework of the February activities “Spring Colors in All Regions of the Country”, there will be introduced and organized special festival activities, typical folk games, traditional New Year dishes and typical products of each ethnic group. Interspersed with that are rich and attractive folk song and dance performances performed by cultural subjects.

Water Drop Offering Ceremony (Water Drop Festival) is an important ritual of ethnic minorities living in the Central Highlands.

More than 100 people of 16 ethnic groups: Nung, Tay, Dao, Mong, Muong, Lao, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Gia Rai, Co Tu, Raglai, E De, Khmer with the participation of 11 localities (Thai Nguyen, Hanoi, Ha Giang , Son La, Hoa Binh, Thua Thien Hue, Ninh Thuan, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Soc Trang) will participate in the Program, bringing special activities such as: the event "Spring Colors in all regions of the country" taking place from February 14 - 16 (ie January 17 - 19, At Ty year).

The exchange program "Northwest when Spring comes" with the participation of ethnic people, telling each other stories of Spring in their homeland through songs, traditional folk games in Spring. Specifically, the Mong people are happy with the Khen melody; the Tay and Nung people are happy with the Tinh lute and Then singing; the Thai, Khmu and Lao people are intoxicated with the bustling music of the Sap dance and Xoe dance...

Along with that is the reenactment of the Water Drop Offering Ceremony (Water Drop Festival) by the group of ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands, which is taking place daily at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village. This is a form of community cultural activity that has many positive meanings in the spiritual life of the ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands. This custom is not only a belief but also raises the awareness of ethnic minorities in protecting and preserving the village's water source.

After witnessing the traditional rituals performed by the elders of the Central Highlands, there were activities introducing traditional culture such as xoang dance, gongs, traditional weaving crafts, etc. and unique cuisine .

Besides, there is the folk song and dance program "Village welcomes Spring" with songs and dance performances of the Central Highlands in the spring, the bustling atmosphere when spring comes to the villages; introducing folk music and bamboo instruments such as the Dinh Put and To Rung zithers; introducing the traditional weaving and weaving professions.

In addition, there are activities of blessing and praying for peace at the beginning of the new year of At Ty - the first eight spring festivals at Khmer pagodas; the flag-lowering ceremony; photo exhibition with the theme "Cultural colors at the common home", introducing about 30 photos introducing festival activities arranged by clusters and regions to see the activities as well as cultural colors that have been recreated by communities at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.

The activities of welcoming the Spring Festival in the space of ethnic villages demonstrate the traditional New Year greeting customs and are imbued with the ethnic colors of the regions, especially from the 4th day of the Lunar New Year to the 15th of the first lunar month; introduce the New Year welcoming rituals of ethnic groups according to regional traditions; festival activities, music at the beginning of the new year. Organize traditional spring folk games such as throwing con, walking on stilts, swinging, playing swallows...

Visitors to the Cultural-Tourist Village this time have the opportunity to learn about culinary culture and enjoy special dishes: steamed sticky rice, chicken cooked with bamboo shoots, steamed snakehead fish, steamed vegetables, grilled fish, pork dishes, colored sticky rice... of the Muong ethnic group; khau nhuc, fish stewed with sour bamboo shoots, Chinese sausage, smoked meat, stuffed bamboo shoots... of the Tay ethnic group; grilled fish, grilled chicken, colored sticky rice... of the Thai ethnic group; and other activities such as tea picking, weaving, making musical instruments, weaving handicrafts, brewing wine, processing traditional medicine...

In addition, there are daily and weekend activities of 16 ethnic communities, experiential tourism programs, introduction of cake making and wrapping to serve tourists, folk games; activities of praying for peace and blessing at spiritual spaces of Khmer pagodas, Cham towers... to introduce the culture, customs and practices of the people, along with experiential activities at the "Common House" of the community of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam./.
