According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health , recently, this unit has received many reports from people about scar treatment and complications at a beauty facility called "Pfizer".
At the same time, the Department of Health also received a complaint from Pfizer Vietnam Company Limited about this facility advertising on social networks using a logo that shows signs of violating the trademark of the multinational corporation Pfizer Inc., a multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology corporation.
After receiving the feedback, the Department of Health Inspectorate coordinated with relevant units to conduct a surprise inspection at 2B - 2C Ho Xuan Huong (Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3). It was found that this facility was granted a business registration under the name "PFIZERS" on May 12, 2023 with the business line of skin care, with Ms. TTKM as the owner.
However, this beauty salon hung up signs and produced many advertising products with the Pfizer name, causing confusion for customers. At the same time, it affected the Pfizer corporation's brand.
Pfizer Beauty Salon uses the same name and logo as Pfizer Vietnam Company Limited.
Previously, on June 27, the People's Committee of District 3 issued Decision No. 457/QD-XPHC to administratively sanction this beauty salon for using substances and equipment to intervene in the human body, changing the skin color of body parts. The additional penalty is to suspend the facility's operations for a period of 4.5 months.
However, this beauty salon not only did not comply with the Decision on administrative sanctions but also deliberately repeated the violation, continuing to advertise scar treatment, injections...
Through synthesizing the records, the Health Department Inspectorate found that this was a case of recidivism, so it transferred the entire case file to the competent authority to conduct criminal proceedings according to regulations.
After this incident, in order to promptly prevent establishments operating without permission, operating in disguise, secretly and strictly handle violations as well as ensure health safety for people, the Department of Health requested the People's Committee of the district/county and Thu Duc City to direct the Department of Health and specialized departments to strengthen the implementation of many contents.
