On July 1, the People's Council of Lang ward, term 1, 2021-2026, held its first meeting and approved many important contents.

Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Lang Ward, Nguyen Hong Dan, said that the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Lang Ward convened the first meeting of the People's Council of the Ward to consider and decide on personnel work and a number of important contents under its authority.

At the meeting, 100% of the ward People's Council delegates approved the Resolutions appointing members of the ward People's Committee after the reorganization; Resolution approving the deputy heads of the ward People's Council and members who are part-time People's Council delegates of the Economic - Budget Committee and the Cultural - Social Committee of the People's Council for the 2021 - 2026 term; Resolution on the Plan to organize regular meetings in 2025 of the Lang Ward People's Council, term I, term 2021 - 2026.

Immediately after the meeting, the People's Council and People's Committee of Lang ward immediately got to work; synchronously and effectively implementing the resolutions of the People's Council of the ward.

On July 1, at the public administrative service point of Lang ward, ward officials and employees arranged and set up neat and clean working rooms, ready to serve citizens coming to do administrative procedures.

Many people who came to work on the morning of July 1 said that they were carefully guided by ward officials so they did not encounter any difficulties in transactions and highly appreciated the government's preparation.

Coming to do the procedures for business registration, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Mai (residing in lane 36 Nguyen Hong street) noted that the ward officials welcomed and guided her enthusiastically. The procedure was faster and more convenient than before.

Sharing with reporters of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung - Chief of Office of Lang Ward People's Committee informed that the preparation for operating the new apparatus was carried out seriously by the ward, with specific assignment of tasks to each leader and manager, at the same time clarifying the coordination process, operating mechanism and working relationship with functional agencies under the city.

The Ward People's Committee also organized training for officials and civil servants on electronic file processing skills, decentralization and authorization in the new model, especially training on citizen reception skills in handling administrative procedures and promoting digital transformation practices.

"During the pilot operation of the two-level local government model, we have shaped it in a more streamlined, modern, professional and effective direction," said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung.
