Yen Xuan Commune proactively responds to storm No. 10, protecting people's safety

Due to the influence of storm No. 10, from the afternoon of September 28 and September 29, in Yen Xuan commune, there was moderate and heavy rain, landslides occurred in Cho Co area, village 5 Yen Binh, affecting 4 households. The People's Committee of the commune directed specialized departments, the Commune Military Command, Commune Police, and grassroots security forces to evacuate people and property to a safe place; install barriers and warning signs.

Due to heavy rain, rising water levels, localized flooding occurred in some areas, such as: Vai Trai culvert, Vai Buoi culvert - Lap Thanh village; Cua Khau lake overflow, Cua Khau Dong Xuan village; Hoi Huong culvert; Dam Boi culvert, Dong Tai Yen Trung culvert; Cua Cua culvert - village 1; Vai Bieu Nep - village 3; area of ​​village 4. The People's Committee of the commune has directed the grassroots security forces to place barriers and warning signs to prevent vehicles from passing through, to avoid causing damage to people and property.

Storm No. 10 also caused damage to property, crops, and broke many areas of winter-spring rice... The Commune People's Committee issued an official dispatch on proactive measures to respond to landslides in the Cho Co area, village 5 - Yen Binh, Yen Xuan commune. The commune's departments, branches and sectors coordinated with residential villages to conduct field inspections, propagate and mobilize households at risk of being affected by landslides and flooding to proactively take preventive measures; prepare plans to evacuate people to safe places when situations arise.

Chairman of Yen Xuan Commune People's Committee Phung Khac Son requested that the departments, branches and sectors of the commune assign staff to seriously organize on-duty shifts, regularly synthesize and report fully and promptly on weather developments, natural disasters, incidents, damages and response work, overcoming consequences due to the impact of storm No. 10 to the Commune People's Committee and the Commune Civil Defense Command.

The Commune Military Command is ready to deploy shock troops to defend on the spot, and coordinate with military units stationed in the area to be ready to respond to and promptly handle emergency situations and overcome the consequences of storm No. 10...
