From October 31 to November 3, the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance and Project Management Board under the Department of Transport will load test and inspect three bridges, including: Cay bridge at km8+650, provincial road 394 (Binh Giang); Van Thai bridge at km10+630, provincial road 394C (Cam Giang) and Lai bridge at km1+650, provincial road 398B (Chi Linh city).
The load test and inspection period for Cay bridge is from October 31 to November 1; Van Thai bridge from November 1 to 2 and Lai bridge from November 2 to 3.
The bridges will be load tested from 10pm the night before to 4am the next day. During the load test, all traffic on the bridge will be stopped for a maximum of 15 minutes per measurement. The load test process will be repeated until the work is completed.
After each load test, vehicles and machinery must move and assemble in a location that does not affect traffic on the roads. The time interval between load tests must ensure that all vehicles stop and wait to safely pass through the bridge.
Vehicles waiting for load testing must be guided to stop and park in line in front of the bridge approach road. When traffic volume is high and there are signs of congestion, the road will be cleared to ensure traffic on the route.
From the beginning of the year to October 27, the Hai Duong Department of Transport has completed load testing and inspection of 5 bridges including: Binh, Van, Day, Bong, and Lo Cuong. BOT Road 188 Company Limited inspected and tested the load of Da Vach, Hiep Thuong, and An Thai bridges.
