From 4:00 p.m. on January 24 to 6:00 a.m. on January 25, traffic police will divide lanes for vehicles allowed to enter the emergency lane on Ring Road 3 in Hanoi .
On the afternoon of January 24, the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi Police said that due to the increased traffic volume from the central area to the city gate, from 4:00 p.m. today (January 24) to 6:00 a.m. tomorrow (January 25), the Traffic Police will divide the lanes for vehicles to enter the emergency lane on Ring Road 3.
4 patrol teams of the Traffic Police Department participated in preventing traffic jams and resolving traffic incidents in Hanoi.
"Vehicles entering the emergency lane must proactively maintain distance, speed, prevent accidents and give way when there is a priority vehicle signal," Hanoi Traffic Police advised, affirming that during the lane separation period, the authorities will not penalize violations of entering the emergency lane.
In addition to ensuring traffic, traffic police will remind vehicles that park illegally.
Meanwhile, from 1:30 p.m. on January 24 (December 25), the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security established four working groups under the Traffic Guidance, Control and Escort Department (Traffic Police Department) to patrol and prevent traffic jams at the gateways of Hanoi city.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Quang Hoa, Head of the Traffic Guidance, Control and Tour Guide Department, said that each working group consists of two motorbikes and one car. In case of detecting an incident, traffic jam or passenger bus stopping, picking up or dropping off passengers in violation of regulations, the groups will report to the Traffic Police Team in charge of the area for immediate handling.
With the advantage of mobile patrols and quick access, traffic police teams on motorbikes will help reduce traffic jams, handle incidents quickly, and support people to return home for Tet holiday smoothly.
Traffic police will regulate passenger vehicles that cause congestion.
In addition to patrolling to prevent traffic jams, traffic police also remind cars and taxis if they stop and park illegally; and guide ambulances to overcome local congestion points.
"The working groups of the Traffic Police Department will work throughout Tet so that people can have a happy holiday," affirmed Lieutenant Colonel Le Quang Hoa.
