Strengthening human resources cooperation between Quang Ninh province (Vietnam) and Hokkaido (Japan)

On the afternoon of August 9, a delegation from Quang Ninh province led by Mr. Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, attended the Hokkaido - Vietnam Human Resources Forum. Also attending the program were Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of local departments, branches and sectors in the province. This is an activity within the framework of the Vietnam Festival in Sapporo 2024, Japan.

He emphasized that Hokkaido is a province with highly developed agriculture, fisheries and tourism. Currently, the province has attracted a large number of Vietnamese people to study, live and work. However, with a high rate of aging population, the locality always lacks human resources in many fields. Hokkaido province has always had many support policies to attract human resources from Quang Ninh province and Vietnam to study and work.

At the same time, they proposed a number of cooperation contents: Hokkaido province supports Quang Ninh in training high-quality human resources in new fields such as green transformation, digital transformation, semiconductors, etc.; create conditions and have policies to attract more workers from Quang Ninh province to work in Hokkaido; strengthen cooperation, conferences, seminars in the fields of scientific research, job creation, vocational training to exchange teaching experiences, program development, teacher training, between Hokkaido province and Quang Ninh province.
