Moon cake production facility in Au Co ward ensures food safety conditions
Taking a tour around supermarkets, convenience stores, grocery stores, traditional markets in Viet Tri ward, Hoa Binh ward, Song Lo commune..., we noticed that the market of goods in the days leading up to the Mid-Autumn Festival is more vibrant and bustling than usual, especially for confectionery, drinks, moon cakes and fruits.
Many consumers have consciously chosen foods with clear origins and expiration dates. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien in Hoa Binh ward shared: “Moon cakes are an indispensable gift on the full moon night of August. Therefore, I often look to buy moon cakes and baked cakes of some famous brands such as: Bibica, Huu Nghi, Kinh Do... because the cake boxes clearly state the name of the manufacturing company, ingredients, and expiration date.”
In addition to people's awareness, the active participation of functional agencies in the province in inspecting, controlling, and handling violations of food safety (FS) also contributes significantly to helping everyone celebrate Tet in joy and completeness.

In which, there is the content of strengthening the inspection and supervision of hygiene and food safety, especially food serving the Mid-Autumn Festival...
Implementing the Plan of the Provincial People's Committee, on September 25, the Department of Industry and Trade issued a Decision to establish an Inspection Team to inspect the compliance with food safety regulations during the Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 in the province under the management of the Department of Industry and Trade.
Accordingly, the Department established 2 teams, including the Department of Industry and Trade, the Food Safety Sub-Department and the Provincial Police. Ms. Le Thi Thu Hien, Deputy Head of the Industrial Management Division, Department of Industry and Trade, Head of Inspection Team No. 1 and No. 2 said: From September 25 to October 6, the teams will carry out a peak period of inspection of compliance with legal regulations on ensuring food safety at production and business establishments under the management of the Industry and Trade sector, focusing on inspections at production and business establishments of products consumed a lot during the Mid-Autumn Festival such as moon cakes, cakes, candies, and soft drinks.
Thereby, promptly propose to strictly handle violations and publicize them according to the provisions of the law. Through surprise inspections of a number of moon cake production facilities in Thanh Mieu ward and Hai Ha 1 Confectionery Factory (Thanh Mieu ward) belonging to Hai Ha Confectionery Joint Stock Company, basically all facilities and factories strictly comply with food safety regulations.
In the province, many moon cake and confectionery production facilities have accessed advanced cake making technology. The processing and production stages all use high-tech machinery, ensuring food safety and hygiene, meeting market demand.
The Department of Industry and Trade's food safety inspection team inspected relevant records and documents on food safety regulations of Hai Ha 1 Confectionery Factory.
As a large enterprise in the consumer food industry, Hai Ha Confectionery Joint Stock Company (Haihaco) is fully aware of the issue of ensuring food safety in production and business. The enterprise has many specific programs in implementing the State's policies on food safety, in order to protect public health.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, representative of Hai Ha 1 Confectionery Factory (Thanh Mieu Ward) shared: “The factory currently has 7 production lines with advanced technology. Along with the participation of functional forces, to protect themselves, consumers need to carefully research, recognize, choose and use products, especially foods with clear origins. Timely detect and provide authorities with information related to establishments, organizations and individuals that violate the law on food hygiene and safety; promote responsibility in the consumption of goods and for the public health of each individual, each family, organization and business.
