Leading Middle East real estate group Emaar Properties invests in Vietnam

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh recently led a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to visit and work in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hang, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of MHGROUP Corporation, and Vietnamese enterprises joined the delegation to promote cooperation with UAE enterprises in the fields of trade - investment, finance - banking, science - technology, development of an international financial center in Vietnam, innovation, green economy , digital economy and circular economy.

One of the highlights of the business trip was the meeting with Mr. Ahmad Thani Al Matrooshi, CEO of Emaar Properties - the leading real estate group in the Middle East, with the connection of Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hang, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of MHGroup Joint Stock Company.

Mr. Ahmad Thani Al Matrooshi received Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and members of the delegation.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh highly appreciated the achievements of Emaar and affirmed that the economic relationship between Vietnam and the UAE is developing strongly. This is a favorable foundation for Emaar to expand its investment in the Vietnamese market. The Vietnamese Government is ready to create conditions and encourage Emaar to participate directly or indirectly through the International Financial Center.

Emaar representatives said they will soon send a working delegation to Vietnam to study cooperation opportunities, and hope that the Vietnamese Government will consider and arrange suitable land funds to implement key projects, including integrated urban areas, multi-functional commercial centers, hotels, luxury resorts and investment in the financial sector.

Emaar is currently the largest real estate group in Dubai, with a net worth of $48.3 billion. Its portfolio spans real estate, retail, shopping malls and hotels. The group owns iconic projects including Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall, Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina and Arabian Ranches.

During her visit to the UAE, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hang had a working session with Mr. Bassam Tabajah, Chairman of the Arab Business Council, an affiliate of the Arab Foreign Affairs Council. He is the CEO of Free Hand Company (established in 2005) and CEO of Tega Global Company (established in 2020). Mr. Bassam Tabajah is an experienced businessman in the field of infrastructure and technology development, and plays an important role in connecting Arab investors with many countries, including Vietnam.

Mr. Bassam Tabajah is investing in Vietnam through comprehensive cooperation with MHGROUP Corporation. Specifically, the two corporations TEGA and FREEHAND, which he manages, are expected to implement projects with a total investment value of about 500 million USD in the next 5 years. At the same time, he also committed to connecting more investors in Arabia with a total expected capital of up to 1 billion USD for many diverse projects in Vietnam.
