Focus on site clearance and speed up progress of projects invested by THACO

The delegation surveyed and inspected the existing 243-hectare automobile mechanical industry project in Tam Hiep commune, Nui Thanh district; inspected the 451-hectare THACO Chu Lai agricultural and forestry industrial park project in Tam Anh Nam commune and surveyed the planned location of the Chu Lai urban area project. These are key, driving projects invested by Truong Hai Group, playing a role in promoting the socio-economic development of the province.

According to the report of Nui Thanh District People's Committee, currently, THACO's projects such as the North-South railway safety corridor project and the corridor in front of Chu Lai - Truong Hai Automobile Mechanical Industrial Park; Chu Lai - Truong Hai Automobile Mechanical Industrial Park Phase 3 project (19.5 ha); THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park infrastructure investment and business project (451 ha) all have problems with compensation and site clearance. Of which, the most problems are in the 451 ha project. Up to this point, Nui Thanh District has announced the land recovery of more than 442.9 ha (reaching 98.08%); approved the compensation plan for more than 392.2 ha (reaching 86.86%).

Currently, there are 51 households that do not agree on compensation for production forest land with an area of ​​over 18.7 hectares. In addition, some households request compensation for assets, structures; request resettlement arrangements, land division for children, request compensation for all remaining land plots in the project. In addition, some households do not agree on compensation locations, low unit prices...

At the working session with Nui Thanh district and THACO Group, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung said that these are key, driving projects, so the province's viewpoint is to focus on leadership and direction; create conditions to promote projects that THACO invests in to contribute to ensuring growth for the province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung requested Nui Thanh district to have a specific roadmap to complete slow-progressing projects in general in the district; for projects invested by THACO, the locality's responsibility is very large, especially in coordinating with investors to clear the land so that these projects can be completed in 2025.

Regarding the problems related to households that have not received compensation and thousands of graves in the area of ​​land clearance, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung assigned Nui Thanh district to consider and decide on an implementation plan that ensures the rights and aspirations of the people; strengthen mobilization and propaganda so that households clearly understand the benefits of the projects; the district's departments must implement the projects resolutely with a spirit of impartiality and objectivity, in accordance with the provisions of law.
