The Management Board of the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area (Tay Ninh Province) has just announced the temporary suspension of mountain climbing and picnicking activities at the Ba Den Mountain Cultural and Historical Forest, starting from October 1 until further notice.

The reason is that the rainy and stormy season has complicated weather conditions, with a high risk of landslides, rolling rocks, slippery roads... threatening the lives and property of tourists and residents.

The Management Board said that recently there have been many accidents while climbing and picnicking such as falling and getting lost, causing damage to health and spirit and making rescue work difficult.

The unit affirmed that it will closely coordinate with the authorities to strengthen inspection, supervision and strictly handle violations of regulations in the Ba Den Mountain area.

Visitors needing assistance can contact 02763875678 or 0949019919 for instructions.

Ba Den Mountain is known as the "roof of the South", 986m high, the highest mountain in the Southeast.

This is a famous tourist destination of Tay Ninh, attracting millions of visitors every year with its cable car system, Ba Pagoda, trekking routes and many cultural and spiritual activities. During the festival season, especially the full moon of January, this place often welcomes hundreds of thousands of pilgrims.
