Tay Ninh holds bilateral meeting with TPO Secretary General at the 12th TPO General Assembly

On the morning of September 5, within the framework of the 12th General Assembly of the Tourism Promotion Organization for Global Cities (TPO), a bilateral meeting took place between representatives of Tay Ninh province and TPO Secretary General Kang Da-eun. The Tay Ninh delegation was led by Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Thanh Thanh.

At the meeting, the two sides had an in-depth discussion on the current status of cooperation activities between the TPO Secretariat and its members, including Tay Ninh province. TPO Secretary General Kang Da-eun welcomed Tay Ninh province (after merging Tay Ninh and Long An provinces) to continue its role as an active member of TPO.

In order to improve the effectiveness of TPO's activities in Vietnam, the TPO Secretariat proposed an initiative to expand the scale of the regional meeting in 2026, scheduled to be held in Tay Ninh province. The meeting should invite more representatives from countries outside Vietnam, especially cities from China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, etc. It is expected that through the conference, the image of Tay Ninh tourism will be spread more widely in the region and the world .

On behalf of the Tay Ninh delegation, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Thanh Thanh acknowledged the Secretariat's suggestions and expressed his gratitude for the attention and close coordination of TPO. He affirmed that Tay Ninh welcomes delegations and TPO members to visit, learn, and contribute to strengthening connections and promoting the local image.

Tay Ninh province will carefully study the above proposal and soon respond to the TPO Secretariat as well as members. Representatives of Tay Ninh province hope that through upcoming TPO events, the image of Tay Ninh land and people will be more widely introduced to the international community./.
