CNBC reported on September 11 that singer Taylor Swift announced her support for US Vice President Kamala Harris, just minutes after the debate between Ms. Harris and former President Donald Trump ended.

"Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election," the singer wrote on Instagram, referring to the debate organized by ABC News in Pennsylvania on the evening of September 10 (local time, this morning Vietnam time).

"I'm voting for Ms. Harris because she fights for rights and causes that I believe require a fighter to achieve. I think she's a strong, talented leader, and I believe we can achieve so much more in this country if we are led by calm, not chaos," she wrote.

The singer signed the message and also took a dig at Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance by adding the words “childless cat lady.” Vance has previously used the term to refer to women in the Democratic Party, which has drawn criticism.

Meanwhile, after the debate, Mr. Trump wrote on social media that his performance was his "best debate ever," and accused the ABC News debate moderators of plotting against him.

"I think it was my best debate ever, especially when it was 3 vs 1," he wrote.

After the debate between the two presidential candidates on the morning of September 11 (Vietnam time), there will be a debate between the two vice presidential candidates, Mr. Walz and Mr. Vance, in New York on October 1, organized by CBS.
