Thai Nguyen: Closed nearly 1,500 orders in online agricultural product sales session

On August 16, the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province organized an online agricultural product sales program via social networks, with more than 20 typical agricultural products, closing nearly 1,500 orders in 5 hours of livestream.

This is a trade promotion activity organized annually by Thai Nguyen province to promote, build brands, connect and expand product consumption markets through diverse distribution channels, helping to increase value and competitiveness, so that custard apple products and other agricultural products of the province can reach consumers across the country.

Videos introducing the custard apple model reached nearly 15 million views; the custard apple Live session attracted more than 500,000 viewers. In the afternoon of the same day, the Thai Nguyen agricultural products - Pride in Vietnamese goods live session was also organized by content creators, local leaders, and farmers to promote more than 20 typical agricultural products of the province such as Huong Que OCOP 5-star shrimp tea, Viet Cuong black garlic vermicelli, Vicumax nano curcumin honey OCOP 5-star; custard apples from Vo Nhai and La Hien communes... and many other products. Within 5 hours, the live session attracted nearly 10 million views, nearly 300,000 views, and sold nearly 1,500 agricultural product orders.

Mr. Dong Van Tan, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Thai Nguyen province, said that in the context of e-commerce and digital transformation becoming an inevitable trend, Thai Nguyen province has proactively cooperated with major e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, TikTok, ... to help promote the consumption of agricultural products.

A typical example is the launch of the “Thai Nguyen Product Store” on the Shopee e-commerce platform, a strategic move to bring agricultural products to a large number of consumers nationwide. On the other hand, the participation, coordination and support of TikTok Vietnam in the implementation of Livestream programs, building digital content and communication videos, contributing to spreading and promoting agricultural products, cultural beauty, people and products of Thai Nguyen to domestic and international friends.
