Visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Dong Nai

(DN) - Continuing the activities to honor people with meritorious services, families with meritorious services, and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers (VNAH), on September 12 and 13, the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Dong Nai Province, the Association of Revolutionary Soldiers Captured and Imprisoned by the Enemy, and volunteer organizations visited and presented gifts to VNAH Mothers living with their relatives in communes in the North of Dong Nai Province.

The delegation visited Heroic Mother Tran Thi Bay in Bom Bo commune. The family of Heroic Mother Tran Thi Bay has two generations of Heroic Mothers, including Mother Bay and Mother Bay's mother-in-law, Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Hai.

Here, the delegation members burned incense to the martyrs; at the same time visited, encouraged, gave gifts and wished the mother good health and a long life with her children and grandchildren.

On this occasion, the delegation and local leaders visited Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi No and Heroic Mother Vu Thi Hien in Da Kia commune. Happy that the mothers are still lucid, living happily with their children and grandchildren, always receiving attention, encouragement and visits from authorities at all levels, the delegation members hope to have more opportunities to visit and give gifts to the mothers.

Affirming that the work of caring for Heroic Mothers, policy families, meritorious people, and gratitude activities must be regular activities, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Chairman of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in Dong Nai province, said: “Heroic Mothers of Vietnam are special mothers who have made many contributions and sacrificed their children for the cause of national liberation. The Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs will continue to accompany philanthropists to organize well the care of Heroic Mothers of Vietnam in Dong Nai province.”

On September 12 and 13, in addition to Bom Bo and Da Kia communes, the delegation will travel to Tan Tien, Loc Tan, Loc Hung, Tan Hung, Nha Bich communes and Chon Thanh ward to visit and give gifts to 6 Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, thereby completing the goal of visiting and giving gifts to 27 Heroic Vietnamese Mothers in Dong Nai province.
