Success from the grassroots congress

The Party Congress of Vinh Binh village, Tam Thang commune (Tam Ky) took place in early January 2025. The Congress received many frank comments from Party members on the implementation of the resolution of the past term, especially clarifying what has been done and what has not been done, pointing out the causes and proposing solutions. In particular, many comments contributed to building a Resolution for the 2025 - 2027 term that is appropriate and close to the local situation; including the field of new rural construction.

Mr. Bui Viet Thien, a party member of Vinh Binh village Party Cell, Tam Thang commune, said: “I have directly contributed to the resolution of the new term of the Party Cell. In it, the proposed direction for local economic development is to switch crops to watermelon and lotus because the locality has potential soil suitable for growing these crops but has not been properly invested. In addition, I also want to work with the Party Cell to more widely propagate the Party and State's policy on new rural construction so that people can agree and jointly implement the improved criteria.”

Many party members, regardless of age or job, attended the congress with a high sense of responsibility and expected the congress to propose new policies, improve the leadership capacity of the party cell in local development and positively change people's lives.

Mr. Thai Ngoc Mien, a party member of Phu Binh village Party Cell, Tam Phu commune (Tam Ky city), is currently a small trader and is interested in the decisions and leadership role of the Party Cell, especially in local economic development.

“The urbanization process gradually narrows the production area, so people need to be oriented and supported to change their careers appropriately. Therefore, I hope that this congress the Party cell will propose effective and strong solutions to stabilize and improve people's lives,” said Mr. Mien.

At the congresses, many party members also expressed their concerns and gave their opinions on Party building work, specifically on the orientation of developing party members because in recent years many grassroots party organizations have not met the target of recruiting new party members. Or on enhancing the role and responsibility of current party members, especially young party members in villages and residential blocks...

Looking at the congresses of Party cells in villages and residential blocks in Tam Ky, it can be seen that, in general, Party members have promoted a sense of responsibility in all processes and work of organizing the congresses.

Ms. Le Thi Cuc, a party member of the My Thach Bac block Party Cell, Tan Thanh Ward (Tam Ky) said: “Although most of the party members of the cell are retired cadres, they have promoted a good sense of self-awareness, responsibility, and solidarity to join the cell committee in participating in everything from organization work to drafting the cell’s report, giving comments on the Party Committee’s documents… to make the congress a success. And I believe that with many years of excellent performance, our cell will successfully implement the proposed resolution.”

According to the Tam Ky City Party Committee, by early January 2025, the congresses of party cells under the Party Committees had taken place successfully. The congresses of grassroots party cells took place safely, economically, and in accordance with instructions; personnel work was carried out in accordance with procedures and regulations, so the election results at the congress received high consensus from Party members.

The congress elected the executive committee, directly elected the secretary and deputy secretary of the party cell, and elected the delegation to attend the congress at a higher level with a voting rate of 96% or more. In particular, the new term resolution was agreed upon by 100% of party members with specific goals and targets that were appropriate to the local situation and the proposed solutions were highly feasible.

After the model congress, the Party Committees under the City Party Committee have drawn lessons to direct the congresses of the remaining Party cells to ensure the best results. At this time, 40% of the Party cells under the Party Committees of Tam Ky City Party Committee have organized congresses. According to the plan of Tam Ky City Party Committee, the Party cells under the grassroots Party Committees will complete the congress in the first quarter of 2025.
