Ha Tinh City Party Committee meets with Catholic party members on Christmas occasion

120 Catholic party members in Ha Tinh city have promoted their exemplary and pioneering roles in carrying out political tasks and patriotic emulation movements.

Ha Tinh City Party Committee organized a meeting with Catholic party members on the occasion of Christmas 2023. Party Secretary Duong Tat Thang and representatives of city leaders attended.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duy Duc reported on the results achieved by the City Party Committee and People in 2023; information on some major policies of the locality in the coming time such as: Expanding administrative boundaries; implementing major projects and works in the area; roadmap to convert some communes into wards...

Ha Tinh City currently has more than 16,300 Catholics, including 120 party members from religious areas. Party members expressed their joy and excitement at the city's new developments; especially in recent times, the city's Party Committee and government have prioritized resources to develop infrastructure, build civilized urban areas, and pay attention to creating favorable conditions for expanding religious worship facilities and building synchronous infrastructure in residential areas with a large number of Catholics.

Party member Vo Ta Dieu (Thach Ha commune) hopes that the Party Committee, government, and organizations will pay attention to creating resources and developing Party members in religious areas.

In addition, party members also shared their concerns about creating grassroots cadres and developing party members in difficult religious areas; at the same time, they expressed their wish to continue receiving attention, encouragement and sharing from leaders at all levels and local authorities in the process of activities and in the lives of parishioners.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the City Party Committee Duong Tat Thang acknowledged and highly appreciated the positive contributions of Party members in the religious areas who have promoted their exemplary pioneering role and effectively carried out patriotic emulation movements and campaigns.

The City Party Secretary also hopes that in the coming time, Party members in religious areas will promote their role and responsibility as Party members, step up propaganda and mobilize Catholics to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; pay attention to the work of building a clean and strong Party and grassroots political system; build a great national unity bloc, and together with the city's Party Committee and government, successfully carry out the goals and tasks of socio-economic development, and maintain national defense and security.
