Another Vietnamese Heritage Tree recognized

(BDO) On June 5, Chanh My Ward (Thu Dau Mot City) held a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment recognizing the Xoay tree in the grounds of Chanh My Temple as a Vietnam Heritage Tree. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee.

The Xoay Tree in the grounds of Chanh My Temple is over 100 years old, over 20m high, and over 10m in circumference. The Xoay Tree is not only a historical witness but also has profound cultural significance, closely associated with the spiritual life and community of local people.

This recognition not only honors the ecological and cultural values ​​of heritage trees but also contributes to raising public awareness of environmental protection and preserving natural heritage; creating conditions for all officials, people, mass organizations and students from schools in the province to visit, study, intern and conduct scientific research.

On this occasion, Chanh My Ward launched the book "Traditional history of the Chanh My Ward Party Committee" for the period 2005-2025. This is not only a valuable source of documents but also a motivation for generations to continue to strive to build Chanh My Ward more and more civilized and modern.
