After the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, the tense atmosphere has temporarily subsided, but it has opened up an equally important stage for 12th graders: preparing for university admission. Although there are still many conflicting opinions surrounding the difficulty of subjects such as Math or English, what candidates need to do now is not to worry or regret, but to proactively re-evaluate their abilities, grasp admission information from universities and plan an accurate application strategy.

This year’s exam is considered to have a higher level of differentiation, especially in Math and English - subjects that often determine many popular admission combinations. With exam scores expected to be announced on July 16, candidates should take advantage of this time to review and predict their scores realistically.

Having illusions about scores or setting wishes based on emotions can cause the chance of being admitted to a favorite major or school to be lost, especially the first wish, the wish with the highest chance because it is considered first. If a candidate does not pass the first wish, the following wishes will only be considered if there are still vacancies, so the possibility is significantly reduced.

Currently, many universities have announced their admission plans, previous year's benchmark scores, competition rates, as well as priority conditions, certificate score conversions, etc. This information not only helps candidates assess their chances of admission, but also guides their application strategies in a more realistic way.

Do not just look at the benchmark scores of last year, but also monitor the number of quotas this year, fluctuations in admission methods, the number of candidates admitted by other methods, etc. to have a more comprehensive view.

An important principle: the first choice must be the major/school that the candidate loves and has the highest chance of being admitted. Based on the expected exam results, combined with the benchmark scores of previous years and advice from teachers to consider. Accordingly, you should not choose the first choice to enter a school that is too high, just to test your ability, and leave the suitable major in a lower position. In addition, candidates should arrange from high to low according to the level of love and ability to be admitted to achieve the highest chance of being admitted.

According to the schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training, the official registration system will be opened after July 16. Before that, candidates should try to practice on the system if there is a trial period.
