Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said that on November 20, Vietnam received five new generation T-6C training aircraft manufactured by the United States.

On the afternoon of November 21, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, answering a reporter's question about the recent US handover of T-6C training aircraft to Vietnam, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said:
Based on the defense cooperation agreement between Vietnam and the United States such as the 2011 Memorandum of Understanding on Promoting Defense Cooperation and the 2024 Joint Vision Statement on Defense Cooperation, on November 20, Vietnam received five new generation T-6C training aircraft manufactured by the United States.
This cooperation activity is within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership for peace , cooperation and sustainable development that is developing well between Vietnam and the United States, actively contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region as well as in the world.
Also at the press conference, answering a reporter's question about the US Treasury Department's conclusion that no trade partner, including Vietnam, intervened in exchange rates, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said:
We appreciate the US Treasury Department's conclusion that no trading partner, including Vietnam, intervened in exchange rates to influence the balance of payments or gain unfair competitive advantages in international trade in the US Treasury Department's semi-annual report - mid-year report, entitled Macroeconomic and Foreign Exchange Policies of Major Trading Partners with the United States.
In recent times, on the basis of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries, the economic and trade relations between Vietnam and the United States have achieved good results, and in the coming time, the competent authorities of Vietnam will continue to maintain close cooperation, regular and effective exchanges with the US Treasury Department to further enhance understanding, contributing to promoting the stable and sustainable development of the Vietnam-US economic relations, meeting the interests of the people of the two countries./.
