Valedictorian of block A00 in Quang Nam: "I want to become a computer engineer"

That was the sharing of Nguyen Van Tinh (18 years old, student of Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted), after the Ministry of Education and Training announced the exam scores on the morning of July 17.

Student Nguyen Van Tinh has the highest score in block A00 in Quang Nam province, with a total of 28.90 (math 9.4; physics 9.75 and chemistry 9.75 points).

Although she got 9.4 points in math, Tinh shared with Dan Tri reporter: "I'm happy but a bit regretful because I didn't do math carefully so my score wasn't as expected."

Tinh also shared that she has applied to the University of Natural Sciences under the Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City, majoring in Computer Science. "My dream is to become a computer engineer in the future," Tinh said.

Talking about her 3 years at school, Tinh said she did not go to extra classes for math, physics, and chemistry. She only went to extra classes for English to consolidate her knowledge.

Sharing about his success in 3 years of high school, Tinh modestly said: "It's mainly my passion, there's no secret, I just learn and study by myself. In class, I pay attention to the teachers' lectures, outside of class time, I mainly study by myself at home, I don't go to extra classes...".

Homeroom teacher Nguyen Thanh Thien said: "Nguyen Van Tinh is a good, intelligent, and studious student. Even though he has passed the university entrance exam, he is still determined to get high scores."

Talking about Tinh's lifestyle, teacher Thien said that in addition to being obedient and studious, Tinh is very sociable with friends, obedient to teachers, honest, and everyone loves her.

Mr. Phan Van Chuong - Principal of Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted - said that Tinh is one of the outstanding students of the school and of the specialized math class.

"Tinh is in the top of the school, very good at studying. In all the mock exams, her scores were also very high. For 3 years, Tinh was an excellent student of the school," Mr. Chuong shared.
