Newcastle are forced to look for a quality new goalkeeper with No. 1 Nick Pope facing a season-ending shoulder dislocation. The club's scouting team will assess transfer options as the transfer window reopens next month.
Martin Dubravka will replace Nick Pope in December. However, coach Eddie Howe does not have full confidence in the Slovakian goalkeeper.
In the list of targets that Newcastle is aiming for, the experienced name David de Gea stands out. After parting ways with MU in the summer, De Gea has not yet found a new destination because of his desire for a high salary.
When he played for the Red Devils, the Spanish goalkeeper received a salary of 375,000 pounds/week. If he joins Newcastle, De Gea wants a salary of 200,000 pounds/week.
Aaron Ramsdale is being "abandoned" by coach Arteta at Arsenal so he is also ready to move to Newcastle in the winter transfer window.
However, the priority of "The Magpies" is De Gea, because the London Gunners will "shout" a fee of 50 million pounds in the Ramsdale deal.
Recently, David de Gea was contacted by Real Betis and Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq but negotiations fell into a deadlock.
