In An Cu commune, with a population of more than 39,956, of which Khmer ethnic people account for 69.61%, the commune government has requested the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions to support funding to repair, expand or build new offices.
In addition, the locality proposed that the Government continue to approve An Cu as a commune in region III (particularly difficult) in the period of 2025 - 2030, to continue to receive support for socio -economic development resources.

In Tri Ton commune, where there are 3 main ethnic groups: Kinh, Khmer and Hoa; the Khmer ethnic group accounts for nearly 47% of the commune's population. This is also a key area for religion, with 19 Buddhist worship facilities and many other types of religions, such as: Hoa Hao Buddhism, Cao Dai, Catholicism and Protestantism.

Faced with the reality that ethnic and religious work in Tri Ton commune is currently carried out by part-time officials, the locality has proposed that the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions consider arranging full-time jobs or supporting responsibility allowances for officials doing this work at the commune level.

On this occasion, the delegation visited, encouraged and presented 50 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to poor ethnic minority households in 2 communes. At the same time, 12 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) were presented to prestigious people in An Cu commune and 17 gifts were presented to prestigious people in Tri Ton commune.
On the morning of September 10, the working delegation of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions will continue to work with the People's Committee of An Giang province to discuss the contents of the inspection at the facility.
