Reporting on the coordination between family and social preschool education facilities in nurturing, caring for and educating children, Deputy Director of the Department of Preschool Education ( Ministry of Education and Training ) Hoang Thi Dinh said that in recent times, the Ministry of Education and Training has implemented many workshops, training and guidance activities for key representatives of management staff and preschool teachers in provinces and cities on the coordination work between family, school and society.
Specifically: organizing a workshop on "Current situation and solutions to support parents in caring for and educating children with quality and issues of ensuring children's rights"; workshop on "Family-school coordination model and improving the quality of care and education of preschool children"; organizing training courses to guide teachers in developing and using documents and online learning materials to guide parents in raising, caring for and educating preschool children; issuing a set of documents "Guidelines for coordinating with parents in caring for and educating children in preschool institutions" and a handbook "Supporting parents in caring for and educating preschool children".
Based on the directives and guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training, localities have effectively implemented the coordination between schools, families and society in educating children. Most preschools have developed school year plans, focusing on the contents and solutions to establish close relationships between schools and families through the role of group and class teachers; promoting the role of the Parents' Representative Board in the work of nurturing, caring for and educating children.
Many units have organized training courses to improve professional capacity of preschool education on coordination between schools, families and society in nurturing, caring for and educating children; training preschool managers and teachers in skills to coordinate with parents and build an educational environment for children to participate in.
Some localities organized the contest "Coordination between school, family and society in nurturing, caring for and educating children" attracting the attention of a large number of teachers, parents and society, contributing to creating a close connection between family and school, thereby improving the quality of implementing the Preschool Education Program.
However, there are still some places where parent coordination work has not been implemented regularly, and there are no convenient and regular communication channels to exchange with young parents. The organization of propaganda is still limited and not deep, mainly implemented in a combined manner, so the effectiveness is not high. A part of parents are workers, ethnic minorities... are not much interested in participating in school activities, so the coordination between family and school is not very effective.
To improve the effectiveness of coordination work, in the coming time, the Ministry of Education and Training will continue to pay attention to directing and guiding localities to do a good job of coordination, research and build appropriate coordination models according to the development characteristics of each locality, especially, prioritizing mountainous, ethnic and rural areas; strengthen inspection, supervision and inter-sectoral supervision to ensure improved coordination effectiveness; at the same time, advise on building a Project to care for the comprehensive development of children in the first years of life in the family and society for the period 2026-2031.
At the workshop, delegates focused on exchanging and discussing the results achieved, and at the same time, proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of ensuring the participation of families and society in managing and organizing educational activities at preschools according to the law.
