Thuong Tin wants to invite Aly Dung 'Saigon Special Forces' to act in a movie he directs

Artist Thuong Tin recently had a reunion with Aly Dung - his co-star in the movie Saigon Special Forces, who played the role of Colonel Song's bodyguard - after more than 30 years apart. This meeting was arranged by musician To Hieu.

Aly Dung is suffering from leukemia, so life is very difficult. Even though he himself has many illnesses and has difficulty moving around, Thuong Tin still wants to visit and support his colleague.

Sharing with VTC News, musician To Hieu said that Thuong Tin was eager to visit Aly Dung after hearing the news that he had leukemia. Previously, the two worked together at the Cuu Long Giang Drama Troupe and then the Kim Cuong Drama Troupe. After that, they met again in the movie Sai Gon Special Forces.

After 30 years of not seeing each other, Aly Dung still recognized his colleague when Thuong Tin got out of the car; while Thuong Tin seemed quite bewildered. He took 1 million VND from the money he had saved from singing to support Aly Dung.

Musician To Hieu confided: "In the near future, Thuong Tin and I want to invite Dung to our house to get a role in a film directed by Tin. Dung is also weak now but can still move better than Thuong Tin. When he heard that he would be acting in a film, he became much more cheerful.

Currently, Mr. Dung is sick and lives alone. Thuong Tin said he wants to help Mr. Dung have shows to perform. I am still thinking of ways to help both of us have shows. Maybe if the audience invites Thuong Tin to a show, I will let Mr. Dung go with me, every penny is a penny."

Musician To Hieu was the one who connected the two artists.

Aly Dung's real name is Huynh Dung, he has Vietnamese and Arabic blood. The actor born in 1950 has played more than 100 roles, mostly supporting roles with little screen time. Therefore, he is also known as an artist who specializes in supporting roles on the Vietnamese screen.

He played the role of Colonel Song's bodyguard in the movie Saigon Special Forces . This is also his most memorable role to date. Despite his perseverance in pursuing his career, his life was still difficult and poor.

The actor was married and had children, but his wife and children left him decades ago.
