Lam Dong Provincial Party Standing Committee meets with former leaders of the Western region province

On the evening of August 21, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee met with former provincial leaders of all periods in the western region of Lam Dong (former Dak Nong province).

Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam hopes that former provincial leaders will always maintain close ties with the current leadership team, continue to accompany and give advice so that the province can successfully complete its tasks.

Attending the meeting were comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; former Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairman of the People's Council, People's Committee of Dak Nong province (old) who are living in Dak Lak province and communes and wards in the western region of Lam Dong.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation expressed his deep gratitude to the former provincial leaders - those who have made many important contributions to the local development in the past time. At the same time, he hoped that the former provincial leaders would continue to accompany, share experiences, and frankly contribute opinions to the leadership and direction of the province in the new period.

Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam shared that on August 21, the working delegation of the Provincial Party Standing Committee went to grasp the situation of the operation of the two-level local government in the two communes of Thuan An and Quang Truc. At the same time, the delegation also surveyed the proposed locations for the construction of inter-level boarding schools in the two communes; public administrative service centers; visited and presented gifts to border guards, poor households, and policy families in the two communes mentioned above.

On August 21, the Working Group of the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee inspected many localities in the West.

Immediately after the merger, Lam Dong province began operating under the new model. The organizational structure was improved, improving effectiveness and efficiency. Despite many difficulties and challenges, in the initial phase, the province achieved certain results. By the end of July, Lam Dong ranked 4th in the country in digitalizing public administration. People's trust in the new government apparatus was increasingly consolidated and strengthened.

Currently, Lam Dong is entering the second phase of the revolution in organizing and streamlining the apparatus, moving from the state of "running and lining up" to "straight lines, clear paths, unanimously moving forward" towards the future. Lam Dong's current advantages are the largest area in the country, important geographical location, rich resources, diverse transportation system, and two airports convenient for tourism and trade... This is the foundation for Lam Dong to converge, break through, develop, and confidently step into the new era.

The Provincial Party Secretary informed that up to now, 124 communes, wards, special zones and 4 party committees under the Provincial Party Committee have completed their congresses for the 2025-2030 term. The Provincial Party Congress is expected to take place in October 2025. Preparations for the congress have been and are being carried out carefully, closely, in accordance with procedures and instructions.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Secretary sent his best wishes for good health and hoped that the former leaders of the province would always maintain close ties with the current leadership team, continue to accompany and give advice so that the province can successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State and People, and build Lam Dong to develop more and more.
