Tri An Hydropower Plant increases water flow through spillway

According to Tri An Hydropower Company, at 8:00 a.m. on October 2, the water level in the lake was nearly 61.4 meters, the downstream water level at the factory was 5.1 meters, and the water flow to the lake was more than 1,800 ^m3 /s.

To ensure flood prevention capacity, combined with the low water level downstream of the river at Bien Hoa Hydrological Station, the company increased the amount of water discharged through the reservoir's spillway.

The time to increase the spillway discharge is 1:00 p.m. on October 2, the amount of water discharged through the spillway is 640 ^m3 /s, double the current discharge level. The water flow through the turbine is from 750-820 ^m3 /s, the total water flow discharged downstream is from 1,390-1,460 ^m3 /s.

Then, depending on the weather and water flow to the lake, the water level of Tri An Hydropower Lake, the water level downstream of the river at Bien Hoa Hydrological Station, the company can change the water flow discharged through the spillway.

Tri An Hydropower Company informs the Civil Defense Committees at all levels and relevant local authorities to direct, coordinate and notify people in the downstream areas of the reservoir, proactively take preventive measures to avoid possible damage.

Previously, at 1:00 p.m. on September 30, Tri An Hydropower Plant released a spillway with a water flow rate of 160 m ³ / s through the dam. At 4:00 p.m. on September 30, Tri An Hydropower Plant doubled the water flow rate through the dam, to 320 m ³ / s.
