Overflow of Ea Sup Thuong and Ea Sup Ha lakes

In order to comply with operating procedures, ensure safety for people, property in downstream areas and safety of the project, Ea Sup Thuong and Ea Sup Ha reservoirs discharge water through the spillway.

According to monitoring data, at 7:00 a.m. on September 4, 2025, the water level at Ea Sup Thuong Lake was at 216.32 m, and the water level at Ea Sup Ha Lake was at 196.35 m.

To properly implement the Reservoir Regulation Operation Procedure of Ea Sup Thuong and Ea Sup Ha reservoirs approved for adjustment and supplementation by the Provincial People's Committee, Ea Sup Irrigation Branch ( Dak Lak Irrigation Works Management Company Limited) will regulate water through the spillways of these reservoirs to reduce the amount of water in the reservoirs.

Specifically, Ea Sup Thuong Lake opened its spillway from 4 p.m. on September 4 with a flow rate of 30-50 ^m3 /s, and Ea Sup Ha Lake opened its spillway from 4 p.m. on September 4 with a flow rate of 10-20 ^m3 /s. The project management and operation unit reported to the local authorities to direct and inform people to take proactive precautions, especially in the Ea Sup stream area.

The downstream area of ​​Ea Sup Thuong Lake and Ea Sup Ha Lake is in a high-risk area for flash floods on small rivers and streams, and is affected by flooding almost every year.
