"Red Rain" only needed 15 days to become the runner-up in Vietnamese box office revenue.

As of 12:00 on September 5, Red Rain has surpassed the 490 billion VND mark, officially defeating Ly Hai's Lat Mat 7 (483 billion VND) to win second place in the top highest-grossing films of all time, according to Box Office Vietnam data .

Currently, Red Rain only needs more than 60 billion VND to dethrone Mai (551 billion VND) of Tran Thanh to become the highest-grossing film of all time. It is predicted that the work of director Dang Thai Huyen will reach the finish line this weekend when Red Rain currently has no equal competitor and the daily revenue is still growing very well.

Red Rain premiered on August 21 and officially opened in theaters on August 22. The film continuously broke box office records with an unprecedented revenue growth rate in the history of Vietnamese cinema. Red Rain successively defeated Tran Thanh's The Four Guardians to become the highest-grossing film of 2025 and then surpassed Bo Gia, Nha Ba Nu and Lat Mat 7 to win the second place at the box office in the history of Vietnamese cinema.
