Standard Chartered has announced the launch of SC WIN (Women's International Network), a global programme to support women entrepreneurs in overcoming financial and non-financial barriers to grow their businesses. The launch, held in Ho Chi Minh City, marks a significant milestone in the Bank's commitment to promoting inclusive economic growth in Vietnam, particularly among women-led small and medium-sized enterprises (WSMEs).

SC WIN is set up to provide comprehensive support to women entrepreneurs through three main pillars: providing products suitable for business development stages, creating a platform to connect markets, customer communities, suppliers and entrepreneurs across different regions, and supporting SMEs in building development and expansion strategies.

Ms. Xie Wen, Global Head of SME Banking, Standard Chartered, said: "The launch of SC WIN in Vietnam demonstrates our global commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs, who play a vital role in driving economic growth and innovation. By combining tailored financial solutions with strategic partnerships like Softdreams, we aim to break down barriers and provide women-led SMEs with the tools they need to succeed in an increasingly digital and connected world . This initiative affirms Standard Chartered's mission to drive sustainable and inclusive growth across our markets."

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hanh, CEO of Standard Chartered Vietnam, shared: "Vietnam's private sector, especially SMEs, plays an important role in the country's economic development. The Vietnamese Government has always focused on promoting and facilitating the development of this sector. We are proud to support this vision through the launch of SC WIN and our partnership with Softdreams. Providing SMEs, especially women-owned businesses, with access to innovative digital lending solutions and a global network will contribute to building a more inclusive and sustainable economic future for Vietnam."

Standard Chartered commits to investing additional resources with the goal of funding US$1 billion for women entrepreneurs globally by 2028, helping them achieve new business successes and contribute to economic and social development.
