Cô giáo Hoàng Thị Vỵ (người dân tộc Cao Lan ở thôn Ngòi Khang, xã Bảo Ái, huyện Yên Bình, tỉnh Yên Bái) dạy chữ và hỗ trợ chăm sóc trẻ bị khuyết tật.
Teacher Hoang Thi Vy (Cao Lan ethnic group in Ngoi Khang village, Bao Ai commune, Yen Binh district, Yen Bai province) teaches and supports the care of disabled children.

The above support level is to help children pay tuition fees or buy equipment and living expenses during the 2024-2025 school year. The program's support beneficiaries are disabled children in 10 mountainous border provinces, of school age, with the ability and desire to go to school, with a certificate of poor/near-poor household from the locality where the child lives or confirmation from the school where the child is studying.

In addition to the goal of raising funds for material support, the program hopes to call for the attention, sharing, and support of the community, families, and local authorities for the equal right to access education for children with disabilities so that they can confidently walk on the road ahead.

To support the program, donors can text to the number 1407 of the National Humanitarian Information Portal 1400. Each TEKT text message sent to 1407 will contribute 20,000 VND to help disabled children have the opportunity to go to school. The text message program is implemented from 0:00 on May 25 to 24:00 on July 23. In addition, groups and individuals supporting the program can follow the list of supporters at account 2024 on the official website of the Fund for Children with Disabilities of Vietnam https://vitreemkhuyettat.org/.

According to statistics from the National Committee for Persons with Disabilities in Vietnam, there are currently about 8 million people with disabilities in the country, of which more than 2 million are children. It is worrying that more than 90% of children with disabilities lack access to at least two basic social services, such as: education, health care, nutrition, housing, clean water and sanitation, information, social integration and a safe living environment.

Most disabled children under 17 years old, with disabilities in movement, hearing, language, vision, intelligence, etc., come from multidimensionally poor households, living in rural and remote areas. They are in great need of social support to access essential services, learning opportunities and community integration.

Despite facing physical limitations, the children still want to learn, live a full life, and integrate into the community. Each gift of support is like a magic key, opening the door to the world of knowledge, helping them overcome the barriers of disability, freely explore and integrate into the community.
