Lam Dong province requires reporting of dirty food information to schools

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat and the Provincial Department of Education and Training to urgently report the results of the verification of the incident related to information about dirty food being repeatedly brought into the kitchen of Trung Vuong Primary School.

On September 17, Mr. Nguyen Mau Ha, Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat ( Lam Dong ), said that the Ward Police are coordinating with the Provincial Police to continue investigating and clarifying the case where a complaint appeared on social networks accusing the principal of Trung Vuong Primary School of signing a contract with a supplier to repeatedly bring dirty food into the school's boarding kitchen.

Accordingly, after the press reported on the dirty food entering the kitchen of Trung Vuong Primary School, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a document assigning Xuan Huong Ward People's Committee - Da Lat to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to inspect, handle and report the results to the Provincial People's Committee on September 19.

Also on September 17, the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province sent a document to the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, requesting a quick report on the process of receiving and handling feedback related to boarding work at Trung Vuong Primary School.

In the 2024-2025 school year and the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, Trung Vuong Primary School has more than 700 students registered to eat at the boarding kitchen.

The leader of the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province said that, in addition to information in the press and social networks, the department also received a collective complaint from citizens (August 11, 2025) with the content: The principal of Trung Vuong Primary School for the 2024-2025 school year signed a contract with a food supplier that did not ensure quality for the boarding kitchen.

The document of the department stated: "Recently, in the press and on social networking platforms, images and information have appeared reflecting that Trung Vuong Primary School repeatedly received food that did not meet quality standards to serve meals for boarding students at the school."

In order to promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee for monitoring, the Department of Education and Training requested the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat to clarify the following issues: The school signed a contract with a supplier of "dirty food", not ensuring food hygiene and safety in the 2024 - 2025 school year; the quality of food sources serving the boarding kitchen from the beginning of the 2025 - 2026 school year up to now; the progress of handling and results of resolving complaints and denunciations according to authority.

In the past two days, many parents of Trung Vuong Primary School have taken their children home for lunch.

The Department of Education and Training requested the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat to urgently report and send it to the department before 11:00 a.m. on September 17 for synthesis and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee. However, at 5:00 p.m., the Chief of Office of the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat said that the authorities were still verifying and clarifying, so there was no report sent to the Department of Education and Training.
