After 13 times of organization, the Olympic Running Day for the health of all people and the Cross-Country Race have become annual activities in early spring of Cam Lo district. This is truly a festival that is enthusiastically responded to and participated in by all levels, sectors and the whole people. The Olympic Running Day for the health of all people and the Cross-Country Race of Cam Lo district are organized with the purpose of propagating and mobilizing all classes of people to actively respond to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", gradually building the habit of exercising and playing sports to improve physical fitness, health, and quality of life.
With the motto "New beginning - new energy - new goal - new success", this year, the Olympic Running Day for the health of all people and the Traditional Cross Country Race attracted the participation of more than 1,000 athletes from agencies, units, schools, communes and towns.
The Traditional Cross Country Race alone had 147 athletes competing in many events for both men and women. As a result, the organizing committee awarded 44 individual prizes and 6 team prizes; awarded 3 group prizes to units, in which the first group prize belonged to Thanh An commune, the second prize belonged to Cam Nghia commune and the third prize belonged to Cam Lo town.
