On the evening of May 30, Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to celebrate and reward athletes and coaches who achieved high results at the 32nd SEA Games.

Striker Huynh Nhu is not on the list of awards because she has moved to Portugal to play for Lank FC since August 2022. However, with her great contributions to helping the Vietnamese women's team defend the SEA Games gold medal, the striker from Tra Vinh was specially awarded.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Nam Nhan said that if she still plays for Ho Chi Minh City, Huynh Nhu can receive a bonus of 350 million VND.

However, because she has moved to play for Lank FC in Portugal, she no longer enjoys any incentive policies from Ho Chi Minh City.

To encourage the spirit of the captain of the Vietnamese women's team, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City proposed and was approved by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to use the sponsorship fund and reward her with 200 million VND.

Before moving to Portugal to compete, Huynh Nhu won many titles with the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club, including 7 national championships in 2010, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021. In addition, she and her teammates won the National Cup 3 times in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Huynh Nhu won the title of Top Scorer of the National Women's Football Championship 4 times (2013, 2016, 2017, 2021) and was voted the best player of the tournament 4 times (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021). She currently holds the record for being the player with the most Vietnamese Golden Balls with 5 honors (2016, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022).

Besides Huynh Nhu, another player of the Vietnamese women's team who received a special award from Ho Chi Minh City Sports is center back Chuong Thi Kieu.

The 27-year-old midfielder was not registered to compete in the 32nd SEA Games because he had not recovered from his injury, but he still went to Cambodia to cheer on his teammates. To encourage Chuong Thi Kieu, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports proposed to reward her with 50 million VND.
