VHO - On the night of August 17 at Cam Ranh Square (Khanh Hoa), the LION Championship 25 (LC25) event - Vietnam's leading professional mixed martial arts (MMA) tournament - brought the audience dramatic and emotional matches.

The highlight was the two title matches for the men's 60kg and women's 52kg categories, where the top-notch fights made the whole audience hold their breath.

The men's 60kg title match between champion Le Van Tuan and number 1 contender Tran Ngoc Luong took place as experts predicted: tense and fierce. Van Tuan entered the match at full speed, launching a series of powerful punches and kicks that made Ngoc Luong face many difficulties in the first round.

However, with the courage of a national Ju-jitsu champion, Ngoc Luong gradually regained control of the game. The turning point happened in the third round when consecutive low kicks from Ngoc Luong caused Van Tuan pain, unable to continue competing. As a result, the Tank Club fighter won by TKO, officially stepping up to the throne of the 60kg class after a year of waiting.

In the women's 52kg title match, Quynh Hoa created a big surprise when she overcame "jiu-jitsu teacher" Lo Thi Phung. Although her opponent continuously tried to strangle her from the first round, Quynh Hoa showed excellent anti-grappling ability and smart tactical moves.

After 5 tense rounds, the boxer from Hanoi won by unanimous score, becoming the new champion of this weight class.

Another highlight of LION Championship 25 was the MMA Duo match, where the Nguyen Xuan Phuong – Nguyen Ngoc Thuc duo faced off against the Nguyen Tien Long – Nguyen Thanh Thoan duo of Raptor MMA. With their superior class, Xuan Phuong and Ngoc Thuc did not give their opponents much chance to fight back, winning by TKO after their opponents were forced to stop the match.

In addition, the event also witnessed many other exciting matches: Bach Van Nghia won against Tran Minh Nhut in the 60kg category; Gulmamadov (Tajikistan) defeated Adel Iabbarov by unanimous decision in the 65kg category; Tran Tra My knocked out Russian fighter Karina Veis with a knee strike in the second round in the 52kg category; Dinh Van Khuyen won against Nguyen Thanh Duy in the 56kg category; Quang Van Minh defeated Pham Thanh Ngan in the 65kg category; and Vo Tien Dat won against Le Nguyen Phuc by unanimous decision.

At the end of LION Championship 25, the audience witnessed fiery performances, demonstrating the strong development of Vietnamese MMA, while affirming the position of the country's leading professional tournament.
