This is one of the notable information at the first conference (1st term) of the Party Executive Committee of Cat Hai special economic zone for the 2025-2030 term held on October 2.
The special zone's budget revenue is high thanks to the strong growth of key economic indicators and the assurance of the plan. The total number of tourists in the first 9 months reached more than 3.8 million, an increase of 31% over the same period in 2024. Total revenue from accommodation and food services reached more than 4,000 billion VND, exceeding the 2025 plan by 11%, an increase of 46.5% over the same period in 2024.
At the conference, the Party Executive Committee of Cat Hai Special Zone deployed the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 1st Congress of Party Delegates of the Special Zone, term 2025 - 2030, including 8 specific targets on Party and government building; 19 targets on socio-economy, national defense, security and 17 groups of main tasks and solutions.
The goal for the 2025 - 2030 term is to build and develop Cat Hai into a modern and civilized special zone, a key marine economic area of the city and the northern provinces.
In the last 3 months of 2025, the Cat Hai Special Zone Party Committee will deploy 10 groups of tasks and key solutions to comprehensively complete the tasks of 2025. Notably, it will coordinate with the city to complete the dossier to request to accelerate the progress of building the dossier to request the recognition of Cat Ba Island as a National Tourist Area and announce the recreation and entertainment areas in the bays of Cat Ba archipelago.
