On the evening of September 2, in Yangon, the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The ceremony was attended by 285 guests, including officials and staff of the Embassy, Defense Attaché Office, Trade Office, the Vietnamese community, Vietnamese businesses living and working in Myanmar, and many Myanmar guests.
In a solemn and warm atmosphere, Ambassador Ly Quoc Tuan delivered the opening speech, reviewing the glorious history of the nation, affirming the great significance of the August Revolution in 1945 and the Declaration of Independence on September 2 - the milestones that gave birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Ambassador Ly Quoc Tuan emphasized that after 80 years of defending and building the country, Vietnam is increasingly asserting its position in the international arena. Vietnam is among the 32 largest economies in the world, among the top 20 countries in terms of trade scale, and among the top 15 developing countries attracting the most foreign investment.
The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam is steadfast in its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, diversification, being a friend, a reliable partner and a responsible member of the international community.

On behalf of the Vietnamese business community in Myanmar, Mr. Ngo Vinh Quy, General Director of Mytel Company, Vice President of the Vietnamese Business Club in Myanmar expressed his pride in contributing to the friendly cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Myanmar.
Mr. Ngo Vinh Quy affirmed that Vietnamese enterprises not only aim for business development, but also wish to become a bridge to promote economic and cultural exchanges, thereby contributing to further tightening the solidarity and traditional friendship between the two nations.
Myanmar guests and the Vietnamese community enjoyed the unique ethnic music atmosphere and national dishes.
The ceremony took place in a solemn, warm, and friendly atmosphere between Vietnam and Myanmar, leaving many good impressions in the hearts of Myanmar friends and the Vietnamese community in the host country.
